Lawrence Baker - Lawrence Baker was
released from prison in September
2006. He has been a member of Ohio-CURE for 10 years and believes the organization can benefit those in the prison system. He has a passion
for helping others and grassroots political change.

Paula Copeland - Paula Copeland is a
Columbus-area attorney who has been involved in social justice issues
for 30 years. During the 80s and early 90s, she taught English to
prisoners at Lebanon Correctional. In the mid 90s, she became
President of CURE-Ohio, leading the organization for 8 years. In 2004,
she left the organization to go to law school, but has become once
more active and currently serves as Vice -President.

Ellen Kitchens - Ellen Kitchens lives in Dayton where
she's worked as a registered nurse for eight years. Previous
experience includes 24 years in accounting with 13 years as a
supervisor. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and an
Associate Degree in business management. After her son was
incarcerated, she decided to do something about the disparity in
Ohio's sentencing laws. She is an advocate for change in both the
prison and legal systems and believes we can make a difference.

Tekla Lewin - Tekla Lewin is a former Professor of
Mathematics at Syracuse University and Earlham College. From 1988-91,
she was Organizer for the Springfield Area Central America Project
(MA). She did prisoner advocacy and anti-death penalty work with
Boston American Friends Service Committee, at Earlham College, and
with CURE-Ohio. She participated in an Alternatives to Violence
Project with the AFSC at Lebanon CI. Since 2002, she has been married
